Director's Statement: As soon as I found out I’d have the opportunity to make a film in the small village of Lacoste, France, I began to eagerly write a script. The primary location I could find information about in the town was the “Château de Lacoste,” so I based the film around that spot. I love fantasy romcoms, so I decided to write a film about a pompous, confused 16th century lord finding love with a knowledgable college history professor. Bringing it to life with its talented cast and crew was such a joyful experience and I learned so much from writing and directing this project. I hope this film brings laughter to those who need it, as well as a sense of hope that love can be found even in the wildest of situations.
